[#511] Application API Key

Dear Support Team,

We started using your service yesterday (instance goes by “versicherungsheld”) and were wondering whether API authentication would be best done by using an Application API Key for retrieving an Application Token when we want to invoke API methods in a server-only environment. In docs we’re asked to reach out to you in order to obtain that App API Key. In case Application API Keys are the way to go, is it possible to have multiple API Keys? We’d need to of them (labels would be “development” and “production”? Or should we use company / user / password to obtain regular tokens instead?

Thanks upfront and greetings,
Henry

Hi, Application key is only needed to be able to access catalog features (we currently do not provide such acess to 3rd parties).

To work with one of few accounts it is absolutely not needed. You can use client or admin/user API. API documentation | SimplyBook.me Online Scheduling Token will expire for both APIs for security reasons and you need to refresh it using your API key or user credentials.

Public API is good to provide booking functionality to your clients.
Admin API is to manage availability and get reports.
