[#576] Questions regarding API

Hi Dev-Team,

we had our first call with your collegue Irene last week. Before our Dev-Team starts implementing simplybook.me onto our platform via API we have a few questions.

The process:

We receive an Excel-Spreadsheet with the following information for every customer (around 2.000 customers per month):

  • E-Mail
  • Address
  • End-date of leasing contract

Now, for each excel row an e-mail needs to be send to the respective customer. Question 1: Is there a way to upload an excel-spreadsheet and for simplybook.me to automatically send an e-mail to the respective customer?

The simplybook.me e-mail needs to include all of the information above. The customer must now be able to:

  • Change his address if not correct
  • Put in his phone number
  • Choose a pick up date

Question 2: Is that possible?

Once the customer answered to the simplybook.me e-mail all of the information needs to go onto our platform via our API and create an order (API Console).

Question 3: Do you see any issues here so far?

Thank you for your help! We could have a zoom-call to show you the process in more detail if that helps.

Best,

Philip

Hi, Philip.

It is not clear on which trigger you need to send emails. There are booking and ticket change events in system which may trigger callback and call your API url.

If you want to send email via simplybook.me for 3rd party excel sheet then we have no options for this and would recommend you to use sendingblue or mailchimp APIs.
